Airlie hosts 3 major events throughout the year that volunteers are encouraged to assist with. These three events include the Summer Concert Series, the Low Country Oyster Roast, and Enchanted Airlie. We also host other occasional events or special dates throughout the year that are not always planned annually.
Airlie hosts our Summer Concert Series every first and third Friday from May through September 6pm-8pm. Volunteers are needed in ticket collecting/purchasing, membership sales, membership check-in, station greeting, and parking direction. A typical volunteer shift for a concert evening is 5pm-7:30pm.
The Low Country Oyster Roast is held annually on the 3rd Friday in October. Volunteers that desire to help with this event are required to have at least 20 hours of previous volunteer time accumulated with in the year. Volunteers at the oyster roast assist in line direction, drink ticket sales, set-up, breakdown, oyster shell recycling, table bussing, and volunteer check-in.
Enchanted Airlie is Airlie’s annual holiday light exhibit. Enchanted Airlie begins the day after Thanks giving and runs every Thursday, Friday, & Saturday until the weekend before the Christmas Holiday. There are two tour times per evening, 5pm-7pm and 7pm-9pm. Volunteers are needed during Enchanted Airlie in many different areas. These areas include, garden station greeters, front desk greeter, rovers, and Santa’s helpers.
