Bird Walk

Wednesday, April 24th | 8am – 9:30am

Fly Over to Airlie

Enjoy a stroll around the grounds without the crowds starting to see what’s flying at Airlie!  We will look for resident and migrating birds, and learn basic birding skills.  No experience necessary, all are welcome.  Binoculars are available on a first come, first serve basis.  This program is co-hosted with our partner, Jill Peleuses from Wild Bird & Garden, and co-founder of the Cape Fear Bird Observatory.  Recommended for ages 12 and up.

  • Airlie is recognized on the North Carolina Birding Trail as a Coastal Region site.
  • Check out Airlie’s HotSpot on eBird.org, a free, easy-to-use, citizen science observation database.
