Celebrating more than a century of gardens by the sea, Airlie Gardens continues to amaze visitors with it’s 67-acres of formal gardens, seasonal blooms, mighty live oaks, walking trails and historic structures. The self-guided walking experience typically takes visitors an hour and a half to complete; allowing for a leisurely stroll through the grounds.
The Garden Services building and restrooms are now open, however the Gift Shop and classroom will remain closed. In an effort to keep staff and visitors safe as well as increase social distance, ALL admission tickets must be pre-purchased on our website, no tickets will be available for sale onsite. Visitors should be prepared to have their mobile or printed ticket barcode available to scan at arrival.

Compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), buildings, restrooms and most garden pathways are wheelchair and stroller accessible. A wheelchair is available on a first come, first served basis. There is no additional fee for this service, however an ID is required for wheelchair checkout.

We are happy to provide a unique backdrop for both amateur and professional photographers. While cellphone, nature photography, and casual picture taking is permitted on the grounds, all portrait photography and commercial shoots require a reservation and fee. Drones are not permitted to fly.
Airlie Gardens is located right off of US-17/Oleander Drive and is convenient to Interstate 40. Located at 300 Airlie Road in Wilmington, NC, the Garden is just minutes northeast of downtown Wilmington and is close to Wrightsville Beach and many other area attractions, accommodations and dining.
