  • Winter Hours | Closed Mondays, January & February

Accessibility

Wheelchair checkout is currently unavailable. 


Buildings, restrooms and most garden pathways are wheelchair and stroller accessible. A wheelchair is available on a first come, first served basis. There is not a fee for this service, however an ID is required for wheelchair checkout.

Tram Service

Tram Service has been temporarily suspended. 


We offer a 7-passenger tram service that is included with general admission. Trams cannot be reserved and are operated on a first come, first served basis.

Guided Tours

Guided Tours have been temporarily suspended. 


Discover the rich history, horticulture and ecology with a docent-led tour. We recommend contacting us at least two weeks in advance to coordinate your reservation. All tours require a reservation and are only offered on weekdays.

Photography in the Gardens

We are happy to provide a unique backdrop for both amateur and professional photographers. All portrait photography and commercial shoots require a reservation and fee. Cellphone, nature photography, and casual picture taking is permitted on the grounds. Drones are not permitted to fly.

Airlie Gardens is located right off of US-17/Oleander Drive and is convenient to Interstate 40. Located at 300 Airlie Road in Wilmington, NC, the Garden is just minutes northeast of downtown Wilmington and is close to Wrightsville Beach and many other area attractions, accommodations and dining.
