Airlie Gardens is primarily a self-guided, walking tour experience. The entire walking tour is 0.9 miles, and our unimproved nature trail adds an additional 0.3 miles. It takes most visitors an hour to an hour and a half to enjoy a leisurely walk through the gardens. To download a map of the grounds, please see our Airlie Map Brochure PDF document.

Ticket sales end at 4:30 each day. We ask that all guests exit by 5:00 pm.

Airlie is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), buildings, restrooms and most garden pathways are wheelchair accessible. Guests may also experience mixed paths made of mulch, gravel, and grass. There are many resting benches throughout the tour, and a few picnic tables nestled with in the gardens. Wheelchairs are available at the Guest Services Desk on a first come first serve basis. There is no charge for this service, but an ID is required for wheelchair check out.
Made possible through funding from the Airlie Gardens Foundation, we are pleased to offer a 7-passenger accessibility open air tram service at Airlie. This service is included in general garden admission and runs on a first come first serve basis. The tram service is volunteer based and does not run every day, please see our Tram Schedule for availability. Calling prior to your visit to make sure trams are running as scheduled is recommended. Guests are encouraged to walk the grounds on their own in addition to riding the tram. The tram runs continuously throughout the garden making several stops along the way at our designated tram stops, allowing guests to explore.

GUIDED WALKING TOUR
Explore the Gardens with one of our volunteer garden guides! Groups of 10-15 people will enjoy a 1.5-2 hour guided walking tour of the garden and learn about Airlie’s history, horticulture and ecology. Guests are encouraged to explore the Garden on their own after their scheduled tour. NARRATED TRAM TOUR
Experience an overview of the Garden on one of our open air trams, highlighting seasonal blooms and areas of historical significance. Groups of up to 6 per tram will be driven through the gardens by our volunteer tram drivers. Tour package includes admission to the Gardens and a 30-45 minute private tram tour. Trams are not accessible to all Garden areas so guests are encouraged to explore the grounds on their own after their scheduled tour. Trams are not wheelchair accessible.
