TRAFFIC NOTICE | Expect traffic delays on Airlie Road this Saturday, September 25th, until 10:30am due to the YMCA Triathlon. Any guests planning to visit the gardens Saturday morning will need to use Airlie Road heading toward Oleander Drive. Please plan accordingly.

Surround yourself in serenity by visiting Airlie’s 2,700-square foot butterfly house. Butterflies, all native to North Carolina, can be found flying about inside this open-air structure.
Take part in a butterfly release! One of Airlie’s Environmental Educators will be in our native Butterfly House to release butterflies and discuss their life cycle and our current species. In the event of rain, we will have an Educator in our classroom.
When: Tuesdays at 2pm, starting Tuesday, June 8, 2021 – September 7, 2021
Admission: NEW!! Pre-registration is required. Check in with your pre-reserved tickets at the Garden Services Center at arrival.
Who: All ages welcome! Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult.
